TeachPhysEd: Speed Ball

Fun game I created a few months ago.  Grades 4th and 5th seemed to enjoy it a lot.  This is a great game that middle school and high school students would enjoy.  You don't need a lot of equipment.  Just a tennis ball and hula hoop.

My coworker and I got very addicted to this game.  We spent some of our planning period playing it.  It involves hand-eye coordination, striking, and strategy thinking.  If you think of any adaptations please let me know!

Keep on moving,

  1. This looks like a fun activity. I might try it with half the class while fitness testing the others. It looks hard. Do they pick it up quickly?
